ABOUT AEROSTRIKE™ JUNIOR KARATE

Aerostrike™ Combat Programs have created a contemporary free-style martial arts program, combining the traditional values of Karate and the Martial Arts, for youth and children, as well as adults. The Program is designed to provide children with the opportunity to develop self-discipline and confidence. Children experience the positive aspects of achievement as they progress both physically and intellectually. Martial Arts instills students with leadership skills, responsibility and setting goals. For children five years of age and over.

The Aerostrike™ Karate program helps to develop the mind and body; to learn and develop skills that will only be used in self-defence and in the defence of others. The program also promotes health and personal development.

The Aerostrike™ Karate program believes that it is important to instill in students the values of respect, courage and self-control.

EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE! COMPLIMENTARY FIRST LESSON

The aim of training in Aerostrike's™ Free-Style Karate program is to develop a complete person, all three aspects of 'mind', 'technique' and 'body' are trained together. As the student progresses all three aspects should develop in harmony.

Students are assisted by Sensei Stavros and the team of fully qualified instructors, to develop their full potential.

WHAT'S INVOLVED

		FREE-STYLE KARATE A contemporary style of martial arts and self-defence, offering the latest Karate training and teaching methods. KARATE Aerostrike teach according to the principles of the traditional style of Goju karate, originating in Okinawa, Japan. KICKBOXING Addresses all dimensions of Karate, effective punching and kicking techniques. Close range non-contact fighting using knees and elbows with simple footwork. Learn effective self-defence moves while getting a great workout. PAD WORK Contact on shields, pad work; practising various drills with a partner.
		SPARRING Classes include combat training, or sparring. Participants must wear the protective gear necessary (hand, shin, forearm mitts) to minimise direct contact with the body.

BELT GRADINGS
Gradings take place four times a year. people who have an interest in Martial Arts can progress through these classes towards their belt gradings. This gives them the opportunity to become a Black Belt and even an Instructor. All gradings are ISKA™ (International Sport, Karate and Kickboxing Association) approved.

BELTS
White belt, yellow belt, green belt, orange belt, blue belt, purple belt, brown belt, brown-black belt, and black belt 1st dan, 2nd dan, up to 10th dan.

THE AEROSTRIKE™ KARATE ACADEMY

CLASS DURATION
60 minute work-out will include warm up, stretching, repetitive pad work, street-wise self-defence forms and cool down.

DRESS CODE
Participants can wear anything they feel comfortable in.

UNIFORMS
People attending classes in order to progress through to belt gradings must wear a uniform. Aerostrike™ karate uniforms are available and can be ordered.
